Hi-Gear Zenobia Eclipse 6 Man Tent

Anyone who has camped with children knows the problem: the sun comes up at half four in June and so does everyone else. The Zenobia Eclipse solves it with blackout bedroom linings that hold the light out, so normal sleep routines survive the trip. Around them sits a proper tunnel layout — two twin bedrooms at either end and a generous living area with full standing room in between. A 4000mm hydrostatic head flysheet and taped seams handle whatever a British summer produces.

Why you'll love it

  • Eclipse blackout bedrooms keep the early light out
  • Pitches in around 20 minutes with colour-coded poles and pegs
  • 4000mm HH flysheet with fully taped seams
  • Two twin bedrooms with dividers, plus a large living area
  • High and low vents work together to cut condensation
  • Two doors, both with mesh panels for bug-free airflow
  • Sewn-in groundsheet seals the base completely

Sleep past sunrise

The Eclipse Darkened Sleep System uses integrated blackout curtains in both bedrooms. Draw them for genuine darkness, or leave them open when you want the morning in — it works both ways.

A living area you can stand up in

The central space takes a table and chairs with room to move around them. Large windows with roll-up curtains keep it bright, and there's proper standing headroom throughout.

Thought-through details

Lantern hanging points, cable access for hook-up, and storage pockets in the living area and both bedrooms. Small things, but they're what separate a good family tent from a frustrating one.

Good to know

Tunnel tents need pegging out properly to hold their shape — allow the full 20 minutes rather than rushing it, and guy out both ends. A matching footprint and carpet are sold separately if you want to finish the setup.
